3N0 continues to build up some good momentum with a fifth EP of fresh techno. This one is from Qasio who has a nice analogue sound and loves a bit of acid. The 303 is well use don opener 'No Mercy' which is slow but heavy, with smeared chords and lumpy drums that slowly but surely trance you out. There is an even more hypnotic vibe on the serene 'Strangelets' which pans about the mix with a silky smoothness and then it's to the stars with 'Sky Patrol,' a brilliantly cosmic journey that harks back to a classic tech house era in the mid-90s. 'FFP2' is last of all and is a twitchy cut with frazzled synths and eerie motifs hanging in the air.
