Trees have been the subject of some well received reissues recently including the 50th Anniversary box set on Earth Recordings. Their second album, On The Shore, now gets a standalone reissue and is a beautiful hybrid of intimate folk and freewheeling psychedelia. This unique space is explored in style here with plenty of bold musical ambition that leads to a unique sound that is Trees's own. English folk rock classic 'Polly On The Shore' is a standout while other tunes like 'Sally Free and Easy' and 'Streets of Derry' also go way beyond your average folk sound.
