What is Asahi Candy Candy ?

"Candy Candy" is a Japanese girls' manga written by Kyoko Mizuki and drawn by Yumiko Igarashi. It is also a TV animation based on it.

It was serialized in Kodansha's girls' manga magazine "Nakayoshi" from April 1975 to March 1979. A total of 9 volumes were published in KC Nakayoshi.

In 1977, it won the first Kodansha Manga Award in the girls' division.

The total number of copies sold has exceeded 12 million.

This work is loved in Japan as a pioneer of "Shoujo Manga".

What is Asahi Sonorama?

Flexi discs (Sonosheets) originally came from France to Japan. In Japan, the first patent was obtained from France in 1959, and Asahi Sonorama was born as a company that plans and manufactures flexi discs.

It is both a record and a manga. It is a huge collection of Japan TV animations that appeared in the era when there was no video and tape recorders were expensive.

Vintage anime flexi discs such as "Tetsujin 28-go", "Astro Boy", "Ultraman", and "Godzilla" have been released.

The quality of the illustrations drawn with a dramatic touch is very high. Today, it is a very rare item that is popular with some collectors.
