This Lp was released on the 10th July1964. The 45rpm was released in April and at that time the Beatles' film had yet to get a title and as the story goes, Ringo emerged from a long days work saying "It's been a hard day," then seeing it was already dark added " 's night." This was then announced to the press as the title on the 17th of April. Ringo may have seen this phrase before in Lennons book "Sad Michael."
Holding a number 1 postition for a huge 21 weeks, from July the 25th!!!
This is also the ONLY Beatles album to have every track written by Lennon/McCartney.

 Lovely heavy vinyl. There are some light marks to her-but even the run-ins and outs are lovely and quiet.
I have just listened to the whole album (after giving her a gentle vacuum clean)  and didn't find any less enjoyment in the playback, just some very occasional light background noise, that's it! NOTHING TO MAKE HER JUMP OR SKIP.
Remains wonderfully clear.

*It is the rarer E J Day cover...typically manufactured at a ratio of around 10:1 in comparsion to the Garrod & Lofthouse sleeves.
You don't find this very often at all for the Hard Days Night cover!!*
The cover has been loved, with just little fingers of spidering eminating from the seams.
NO SPLITS OR TEARS!!
There is small number to the back...Nothing bad at all-see if you can spot it in the images provided..

Good STRONG & LEGIBLE spine.
Fantastically strong and clean flipbacks too.

It is the correct, period "USE EMITEX" inner with the much rarer "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" text too!
There is some age discolouration to the paper and a split to one side...But remains strong and has protected this slab of viny for years with its poly-lining.



A very nice example of a classic record, with great audio -NO skips or jumps....
Comes with the MUCH rarer EJ Day cover as well as the rare PATENTS PENDING Emitex inner too!
