Hugh Cornwell, former Stranglers bandleader and now solo artist, here presents his tenth, yes, tenth, solo LP. An album of polemic social commentary blended with a gothic punk aesthetic (but not quite so on the nose as to invite a comparison like 'Bauhaus meets Billy Bragg'), 'Anthology' is emotive and gargantuan in sound, proving Cornwell's still got the capacity to ignite emotions in the face of boiled-frog uncertainty.
