SNFU “…And No One Else Wanted To Play” (BYO 009) 2006 Kdisc cut Better Youth Organization reissue of the 1985 debut LP from Vancouver hardcore kings SNFU. Both sleeve and vinyl are NM, unsealed but pristine, never played. Comes in a fresh clear poly sleeve. Features fourth “holiday massacre” incarnation of the cover art after the Arbus photo and variations of Arbus got pulled. This is a favorite of everyone from Jello to Pushead to Hetfield to Brett Gurewitz (who signed SNFU to Epitaph during the Offspring / Rancid boom years). As much as I like those records and discovering the late Chi Pig and his band on those Punk-O-Rama comps, this debut is the masterpiece. Raging but still catchy, it surpasses 99% of their mid-80s peers musically and lyrically in the way it balances raw punk anger with tongue-in-cheek humor.
