Shrouded in mystery for years, doom-metal pioneer, Randy Holden, has finally decided to unveil the shelved Population III album; the much whispered about sequel to the seminal 1970 genre-defining 'Population II', often credited as the birth of doom rock/metal and a checkpoint for the progressive nature of alternative guitar music. After severe label tampering all but ruined the experience of crafting and releasing the original, Holden would quietly work on the follow up, while issues with ProTools of all things, would suck even more of the joy out of the process. Now, after over a decade of idle wool-gathering, and following on from 2020's reissue of its predecessor, Holden has dusted off the cobwebs and opened the door to listeners, finally offering a chance to experience a work literally over half a century in the making.
