12 years is a long time in anyone's life. Think back to what you were doing 12 years ago and it's either something very different, with someone very different, or maybe the same as now but with far less cynicism and fewer expectations of disappointment. Revisiting Two Door Cinema Club's debut album reiterates that point, with the 2010 outing either destined to remind you of school/high school/college/university, that first job, formative days in the career you're now flourishing in or have long-since quit.

The sound itself only adds to that feeling of nostalgia and rose-tinted glasses. Born into a time when indie rock had apparently discovered speed but without the horrible tweakiness, this is uptempo, anthemic but somehow lo-fi stuff that's meant to get the blood coursing without aggressively demanding so.
