As you might well have guessed from the title, Chilltendo Deluxe is a 24-track collection of tributes to the musical universe of Nintendo. They are all served up in a lofi hip-hop style with elements of chillwave and vapourware from producer Jokabi who also designed the artwork. These super covers take in music from Pokemon, Smash Bros, Mario, Undertale, Legend of Zelda, Chrono Trigger and Okami and all the compositions are licensed and have been used with permission. It's a superb soundtrack to a lay afternoon packed with subtle nostalgic hints to your lost video game-obsessed youth.
