Folklore was a surprise album from American singing sensation Taylor Swift, who only 11 months previously put out Lover. The record makes a big departure from the sounds she is mostly associated with - namely upbeat pop - in favour of a more mature and considered indie folk, alt rock and chamber pop sound.
