There were few finer labels for disco back in the day than New York's Prelude. To this day their output stands up so whenever any of it gets reissued we are on it like Sonic. Sharon Redd was one of the vital voices of her era and here her classic 'Never Give You Up' gets put out with some remixes from Michael Grey. The first one speeds up the drums and flattens out the groove to make for a proto-house, then the dub mix pairs things back to the bare essentials. The original is the most flamboyant and disco tinged while the Tribute Mix is a perfect mix of everything.
