Belgian synthpop duo Charms released their only record on Biram in 1982, and France Lise is a French singer who also saw to a release on the label in that same year. Rarities like this are more than enough impetus to inspire labels like Favorite to reissue their music. This limited edition 7" combines two of their best cuts onto a single slab of wax; 'Givin It Up' is the epitome of new romantic funk, a sacrificial ode to the losses of love. Lise's 'Pour Moi Ca Va', meanwhile, bursts open the saloon doors with fur-lined French flair, and a darker, bass-driven funk sound.
