Hot Creations was synonymous with a creamy house sound and poolside vibe that took us all out of the bleak minimal years more than a decade ago. In recent times though it has managed to diversify, which is always important if a label wants to survive its first wave of fame. James Pool does a fine job of exploring new ground here with 'Miss Tony' (feat Sugur Shane) combing big sax energy, high speed drums and sleazy rapped vocals. It sure is fun. With Mizbee he crafts 'Inner Child' which is a shuffling and garage-flecked house cut then solo effort 'Juicy Roots' is another smooth mix of garage and house.
