Original OZ 3rd press LP released in 1967 on RCA Records. Cat: SL 10979.   G.I. Blues marks the point when Elvis Presley's '60s begin. It's the first film he made after leaving the Army parts of the production were shot in Germany just prior to his release and it's also the first of his many movie soundtracks, a form that did Elvis few favors. G.I. Blues is nowhere near as tacky as some of the soundtracks that arrived later, but it nevertheless makes clear Col. Tom Parker's desire to move Presley from rock & roll and into the show biz middle of the road.

  There are some light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks and very light scratches that cause some crackles throughout and is in VG+ condition. Cover with flipback sleeve has some ring wear, light age spots and marks and a name written on back top edge and is in VG+ condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
