We use the Goldmine Standard of grading vinyl and define Very Good as: VG records have more obvious flaws than their counterparts in better shape. They lack most of the original gloss found on factory-fresh records. Groove wear is evident on sight, as are light scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail. When played, a VG record has surface noise, and some scratches may be audible, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and ending. But the noise will not overpower the music otherwise.

2 - Minor scuff, blemish, or slight amounts of wear on raised edge of disc, still very clean (Played carefully some?less than 10 times)

3 - A few small non-audible scratches, some wear on outer rim of the lp (Played occasionally?more than 10 times, less than 20)

4 - Signs of wear, small scratches or nicks, rim wear noticeable (Played regularly, but carefully)

5 - Worn but still very playable (Played often, but not abused)

6 - Signs of extensive use (Well played)

7 - Abused but playable (Definitely a used record)

8 - cover value (Very played, worn out)
