4th Press-Yellow Parlophone WITHOUT 33 1/3 and WITHOUT recording first published statement to labels...THIS is the one for sale.

This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker,  New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.

 Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL: 168g!
VG.
Gorgeous, heavy vinyl...Still has it's sheen. She does carry some  marks.
After playing the whole record through, I found a tiny, tiny skip on 'I Saw Her Standing There' right at the end of the track but I think a slightly heavier arm than mine will play over this without a problem. The rest of the album blasts out raw early Beatles with only some light background noise in the quieter sections, but when the songs get going-TURN HER UP!
Still sound F-A-B.

There is just a small amount of central hole wear as seen in the pictures. With light spindle marks.
 Other than that the labels stand out nice and clean, with no writing or rips.
CORRECT 4th PRESS
These labels are getting harder to find as only a relatively small amount were pressed....
ONLY 25,000 ever pressed and are as rare as 1st press Black & Gold pressings!
 Outer rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co.Ltd"
NO "Recording First Published 1963" stated under the printed matrix number.
Carries the much more unusual MT tax code to side 2.
