Walter Bailes and the Sullivans - Bring the Boys Home b/w Walter Bailes Three Dollars Left for Roses (Big L 1991). Good old-time country / bluegrass string band 45 on the small Birmingham, AL based label backed with a hard-core country cut. Bailes was member of the famous country music group "The Bailes Brothers", he was a writer of religious and secular songs and wrote most of his group's music. His best-known works included "Dust on the Bible," and "Give Mother My Crown." The Sullivans family band launched its career at Radio WRJW Picayune, Mississippi and their first recordings were for the Revival label and the Loyal Records label, owned by fellow evangelist, revivalist, and broadcast musician Walter Bailes. They stayed with Bailes between 1959 and the early 1970s. Take a listen to a little of each side. Record is in VG+ condition (has a small "X" on one label.
