ITEM DETAILS: Right. Here we have an extremely rare, genuine, signed copy of The Pet Shop Boys album 'Actually' from 1987. This particular album was one of two albums out of 15 signed on the album's release by the duo, that were donated to a charity appeal for a somebody named John, but who John was or what ailed him remains unknown despite my diligent research (If anyone can shed any light on this, or what became of John I'd be eternally grateful). The album was purchased back in the day at a fundraiser event by the previous owner (He couldn't remember exactly where) from whom I bought it many years ago, who also kept the piece of paper from the day that you see in the photos. I found it inside the sleeve, and the story behind the crayon scribble is lost to the mists of time, but I like to think it may have been a piece of John's own artwork (Also inside the sleeve was a signed photo from the same event which I have listed in a separate auction). The duo would have been relative newcomers at that time so the original owner just took the record home and played it, never suspecting they would become global superstars. Consequently it has a few scratches as you can see, and the cover has some finger marks and minor creases as well as some spots of foxing on the inner. Along with this there are some rubs to the marker pen signatures where the album had been stored away carelessly before I purchased his collection, but I have absolutely no doubt the signatures, accompanying paper and their story are unquestionably 100% genuine. Basically everything is exactly as you see it in the photos, and it comes from a smoke free home.
