Released on November the 8th 1971, this Lp was to define the 70's hard rock scene... & what an album!! Entering the UK charts, straight in at the No. 1 position.

Orange & Plum label.

PORKY / PECKO etched into the run-out grooves showing this to be mastered by the very well respected George Piros-making the audio stand out loud 'n' proud!

Yes....That good.
I have just gently cleaned her, firstly with a Pro-Ject VC-s MKII vacuum record cleaner, then I gave her an ultrasonic bath -Following that I listened to her all the way through...
The bass is deep and rich and the highs are simply fantastic....TURN THIS BABY UP-I did!
FLAT as the day she was born.
There are only a few VERY light marks to the vinyl, which had very little impact on the gloriously rich audio reproduction...Just some very inconsiquential light and brief bit of crackle-it is a slab of vinyl from the 1970's and not a digital reproduction!
I noticed some insignificant residue from being housed in a poly-inner-but this did not have any impacty on playback and is only very light.
Even the lows were ultra clear, with crisp peaks too :)

Only one or two INCREDIBLY light spindle marks evident when angled towards the light. With zero central hole wear-please see the detailed images attached.

The Cover:

 Original GATEFOLD cover with only some very light handling and storage wear to her-SUPERB...it is the first printing run with matte black interior gatefold and not the later glossy and even lighter black inner panels-Please see the pictures provided.
I noticed a greener tinge to the spine spine and some rubbing to the edges-with the top and bottom of the spine rubbed but certainly not split.

The Inner:
VG(+).
It is the ORIGINAL 1st print inner...NOT the later one which has the K 50008 catalogue number to the top...This one DOES NOT have any catalogue number printed on it.
IT ALSO HAS THE PETER GRANT CREDIT to one side.
With the lyrics to Stairway to one side and the records tracks to the other she has been used and has splits...Large one to the bottom seam and a smaller one to the left side, with a final even smaller (justy broken through) split to the right side...Still remains solid.


WELL, WHAT CAN I SAY...SOUNDED FANTASTIC-TURN HER UP AND BLAST OUT THE NEIGHBOURS!!
