Toyokasei is set to release a limited edition 12-inch "wine" red vinyl of Baka Mitai, a song that has transcended its origins in SEGA's acclaimed Yakuza series to become a cultural phenomenon. Written by Ryosuke Horii and composed by Mitsuharu Fukuyama, Baka Mitai first appeared in Yakuza 5 and quickly became a fan favorite, thanks to its poignant portrayal of a woman struggling to forget her past lover. The song's emotional depth has made it a standout across the series, with various characters performing it throughout the franchise. This release features the original 'Taxi Driver Edition' on Side-1, capturing the melancholic spirit of the song as originally intended. On Side-2, fans will find 'Baka Mitai - Aishuu,' a beautifully stripped-down acoustic version that highlights the song's lyrical sincerity. This marks the first standalone vinyl release of Baka Mitai which makes it extra special.
