Harvest EMI SHVL 815    STEREO  

1st UK Pressing  (released 23 January 1977)  

Both wax and jacket are in "like new" condition, essentially flawless. 

Includes original cardboard inner sleeve (with lyrics), also in "like new" condition.

This is the much touted and prized Harvest pressing, with absolutely stunning sound quality.  Spectacular dynamic range on this master.

This album introduced the iconic E. R. G. Amsterdam "inflatable pig" creation, which became a mainstay at live shows to follow.

To verify this as a first UK pressing, note the following features:

1) Thick cardboard cover with the front edge of the gatefold sealed with a foldunder.

2) Extra wide spine.

3) No bar code on cover.

4) Black cardboard inner sleeve (documenting lyrics) with round corners and a 9 inch notch on the edge that opens.  In lower right corner of the inner sleeve appears the catalog #: "SHVL 815(I)".

5) No citing of track durations.

6) ID info on left side of rear jacket reads: "0C", followed by the "boxed" number "064-98 434".

Matrix numbers in the dead wax read:

Side 1:  SHVL  815  A-4U  1   (stamped)   

Side 2:  SHVL + 815 + B4  OR  Y   (hand etched)

Vinyl:  NEAR MINT  (Like New)

Stunning sound quality.  

The wax looks and plays "like new".  Spectacularly clean wax !!!

Jacket:  NEAR MINT

The gatefold jacket looks just a wee bit shy of "like new".  Its only flaw is a minor shallow 1/2 inch crease that appears at the top of the front jacket.  (Likely was that way when I bought it but I am not certain as that was 40 years ago.)

The seams and spine are in "like new" condition.

Here offered is a pristine original 1977 UK pressing of the RARE classic Pink Floyd LP "Animals", the prized Harvest pressing, with fantastic sonics.  It is hard for me to believe that you can find a finer copy that is not sealed.  Hoping this wonderful collectible goes to a good home.
