Missouri group Foxing present their third full length Nearing My God which flits from stadium filling ballads to love songs and odes to the unknown. The group's unique sound drifts from post-rock and punk to emo and indie. If you were a fan of TV on The Radio this is something worth discovering, with dancier Bloc Party themes even creeping in on track: "Lambert". The title track "Nearer My God" and "Heartbeats" sees the band's electronic side come to fore with synths leading the charge in a way you can align with bands like M83 and the 1975, but it's the enduring nine-minute anthem that is "Five Cups" that will blow you away.
