Adam Gibbons produced this mini-masterpiece in his own home in 2007. It was a stunning debut that melded funk, jazz, samples, breaks and beats into a lovable and danceable collection packed with heat. At the time, the producer was working for Sky TV in London and after a long 12-hour shift would sketch out ideas on the train home then finish them off in his bedroom studio. It took about eight months of doing that to finish the record and we're glad he did: it is a well-crafted work with nods to vintage funk, storytelling samples and real soul that bristles and busters with charm from front to back.
