BLOOD SWEAT & TEARS - Child is father to the man - UK orange CBS LP  EX

These records are all from my personal collection built up over almost 50 years. Some were bought new, others pre-owned so condition will vary. Please do read and understand the detailed description which is my honest personal assessment - you can always check how good or bad that is by checking my feedback. My attempt at grading is based on the commonly used Record Collector grading system except I do not use Mint as I don't think that any 30+ year old record can be. The Album:
Brilliant debut album from BS&T - my favourite of theirs, though the second oozed class and gave them the commercial success that this one did not. Formed by Al Kooper & Steve Katz, Kooper ended up getting the sack soon after this was released so Dave Clayton Thomas headed up the second album lineup. Kooper wrote about half the stuff on here, but there are also covers of Tim Buckley's Morning Glory, Nilsson's Without her, Randy Newman's Just one smile & Goffin/King's So much love. Great start to finish. My first copy was a bit ropy, given to me by a friend at Uni - this is a stereo copy I bought later to replace it - the cover's aging but the vinyl is in really nice condition.

Condition:
Cover: Front-laminated single sleeve is ok. It has ringwear and a bitt of laminate creasing but it is generally strong and intact. The unlaminated rear, predominantly white, is a bit grubby as so often happens, and there is a name written top left rear. The spine is strong and all text is clearly legible.
Labels: Orange matt CBS labels are bright and clean. Just a few spindle marks, no stickers or writing, excellent.
Vinyl: Vinyl is great - it has very few of the expected faint paper marks, no nasty marks. It plays really well.

Overall:
A fine copy of this album which plays excellently - I'd guess it would professionally grade at (cover/vinyl) VG / EX

Postage: Reflecting new Royal Mail charges April 2014: Within UK, weight ranges usually allow up to three LPs to be posted for the same cost as one. For all other destinations costs are weight dependent, but incremental cost from additional LP's will normally cost less than the first. I am happy to hold records for a while if you wish to bid on more and combine shipment, but it helps if you can let me know particularly when bidding on items separated by a few days. Approximate prices for normal postage & packing -

UK £3.59 for up to 1kg (1,2 or 3 average weight LPs). 

Europe £5.55 normal airmail, £10.55 signed-for. + £1.45 each additional,

Rest of world £7.85 normal airmail, £12.85 signed-for.  + £2.70 each additional item

These amounts include actual Royal Mail cost for first class or air mail, plus 39p for actual cost of packaging material (a brand new custom mailer with stiffener). The greedy snouts in the trough at Ebay now charge sellers 10% of postage costs for which there can be no justification - I refuse to pass this shameful levy on to buyers, so you only pay post and packing.

Apologies, but owing to unreliability of some postal services, I will not ship to Italy, Russian Federation, & other former Soviet countries unless a signed for service is selected and paid for.

Losses: Royal Mail have reduced maximum compensation to £20 unless items are signed-for. Compensation on signed-for shipments is up to £50. Overseas purchasers - if your purchase is well over £20, a signed for service must be selected when paying or shipping will be at your own risk, not mine, and normal airmail will only be covered for up to £20.

I have decided to sell my whole vinyl collection as I know it won't be appreciated by my daughter or grandchildren, so I'm shifting it myself and hope I find good homes for it. Listed items are selected at random so there should be a decent if not particularly logical mix coming up over the next few months if you keep an eye on my other items now and in the future.
