I AM SELLING MY RECORD COLLECTION!
This one of many albums and singles that I will be letting go of in the coming weeks and months.
Please
keep an eye on my other auctions for more vinyl; I have many different
artists, genres, etc. Around 150 items all told in the 12" section
plus a couple 10" items, a box set, and a fair number of 7" singles as
well.
About my vinyl auctions: all will start at $0.99
with no reserve, regardless of rarity and/or condition. All pictures
will be of the item being sold, no
stock and/or generic images, no re-used images from other auctions.
International shipping. Combined shipping on multiple auctions won.
Other shipping options may be available: if you think there is a less
expensive option out there that isn't mentioned in the shipping section,
let me know and I will look into it. My arsenal of lp mailers, USPS
Priority Mail flats, bubble wrap, cardboard inserts, newspaper, etc,
stands at the ready to ensure that every record will go out with the
best chance possible of making it to you unscathed. Every item will be
described in detail, using the grading system posted online by the
Record Collectors Guild, so that you know exactly what you are bidding
on. Play testing of the vinyl is, however, impossible as I do not own a
turntable. This basic format will be used for all.
More notes on grading: I will never grade a record as Mint, not even
sealed records; Near Mint is as high as I will go. Also, eBay has a
grade called "Excellent" which I am unfamiliar with and will also never
use. The next grade down from Near Mint is Very Good Plus. Finally, I
will never sell a record that I consider to be in Poor condition; the
lowest possible grade for a record at auction is Good. All told the
possible grades are, in order from lowest to highest, Good - Good Plus -
Very Good - Very Good Plus - Near Mint.
On to the item specifics: this auction is for one (1) Phish The Story of the Ghost 12" vinyl lp album.
Label: Elektra/Warner
Catalog number: 62297-1
Condition of the cellophane: mostly intact. Opened along the edge to allow access to the record (this record is not sealed). Small split at the bottom left corner.
Stickers on the front: price sticker and a "Features Bird of a Feather Ghost and Guyute" decal, both on the cellophane.
Stickers on the back: none.
Cover
condition: Very Good Plus. Shows evidence of wear and handling on the open edge. Corners are dinged. Certainly not NM, but not quite so bad as to drop to VG.
Record(s) condition: This record has absolutely been listened to because I know it was my listening copy. Back when I really was a DJ, I would relax after practice by listening to this album. However, I had really nice equipment and spent a stupid amount of money on needles, so there's no worry there (no worry for the record anyway). The lyrics sheet insert is also Very Good Plus. It is really close to NM; I almost called it that then found a tiny crease. I am also going with Very Good Plus on the record itself as I know it has been played and it looks like I left some finger smudges on side 2. I reserve NM status for things that look like they just rolled off the press.
International shipping: if the shipping calculator doesn't work, please contact me for a quote. Also, if the shipping calculator does work, it probably only lists Priority Mail International as a shipping option. Please note that First Class Mail International is available to Australia, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Germany, United Kingdom, Israel, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and New Zealand. If you live in one of those countries and would like a First Class shipping quote, please contact me. However, if you're good with a rough and ready estimate, generally First Class costs about half what Priority goes for.
