ELVIS PRESLEY - "ELVIS IS BACK!" (LPM-2231) - FIRST PRESSING FROM 1960!

RECORD:  EXCELLENT with just a few light paper sleeve scuffs and very light surface scratches that should not result in any distracting surface noise. The labels are super clean and original with just a few light spindle marks. The matrix numbers on this Hollywood pressing are 1S/12S. This has been well cared for record that was more than likely adult-owned since new. 

COVER:  EXCELLENT with no seam splits! This in itself is downright RARE for this particular cover as the vast majority of these have a serious lower seam split. The actual record pocket is within the portion that shows Elvis in his civilian clothing, as is correct for First Pressings. The Yellow Sticker on the front is the earliest version showing "The Girl Next Door". Later stickers add "...Went A' Walking". This cover is very clean & glossy with virtually no ring wear; just minimal scuffing from contact with other LP's. The inside of the gatefold is as glossy and fresh as the day it left the Hollywood plant! There is absolutely no tape, writing or staple holes; a really fine original cover that is now 54 years old! The only detraction keeping this cover from NM is a bump to the upper left-hand corner. It was somewhat of a hard hit and it wrinkles in approximately 1/4 inch from the tip. And that is it; other than that, this cover is gorgeous!   

INNER SLEEVE:  The original RCA Victor sleeve depicting a hodgepodge of recently released Easy Listening LP's available at the time". Among all of these Easy Listening LP's, is a real stand out; "A Date With Elvis". Elvis was RCA Victor's ONLY Rock n' Roll artist for a number of years.
