ELVIS PRESLEY - ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS (LPM-1707) - A FIRST PRESSING WITH THE SECOND COVER ("RE" ON BACK) 

For your consideration, "ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS" (LPM-1707), a high-end collectible album released in 1958 on RCA Victor Records. The cover is the second variation with "RE" on the back, following the record number. The cover still shows "ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS" in the original light blue lettering.

RECORD: NM- Rockaway pressing. The vinyl retains full, original gloss with just a few light paper sleeve scuffs. This record should play like new! The labels are very clean and original with just a few light spindle marks. The matrix numbers end with 16S/13S, respectively. 

COVER:  EXCELLENT with "RE" following the record number to the upper right corner on the back. This designated a change in wording on the last paragraph of the first column of the text from "After thirty-one grueling 'takes', a satisfactory master was finally made" to "After several rehearsal 'takes', a satisfactory master was finally made" (as seen on this cover). There are no seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes anywhere on this cover. I cannot even detect any ring wear! There are just a couple light stains on the back. The spine is fully legible and the edges are smooth all the way around. Some light corner wear is noticed as well as a bit of yellowing on the back. This is an album that has obviously been adult-owned since new and one that belongs in a high-end collection of Elvis Presley records and/or memorabilia. 

INNER SLEEVE:  The original gray RCA Victor sleeve from the era.
