PETER GREEN'S FLEETWOOD MAC - " FLEETWOOD MAC ", Blue Horizon (7-63200) Mono, 1968.
Extremely rare, UK very first pressing LP of the classic debut LP by Fleetwood Mac in their very first incarnation
The front laminated sleeve, matte finish light blue label and matrix numbers ending in A1 and B1 mark this out as the very first pressing.
Matrix numbers
SIDE A = 7-63200 A1
SIDE B = 7-63200 B1
Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and put in a
new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner has been retained for originality- see photo)
CONDITION:
VINYL = V.G.+ (No deep scratches, excessive surface
noise, distortion, etc. Pretty clean labels with only light spindle
trails. Under a strong direct light,
this LP carries a few paper scuffs,
hairline marks and couple of slightly more pronounced marks - thanks to a good original deep grroves pressing and other good fortune, these imperfections are cosmetic and do not sound on playback. Generally the playback is good, certainly not suffering distortion or muffling that you
would associate with over playing, which correlates with the pretty clean
labels. Saying that, as this record plays out, there is a bit of
occasional faint surface noise audible in some quieter and silent
sections, plus the odd faint background crackle from time to time.
Certainly
not in museum piece condition, but to my mind these slight imperfection
definitely do not ruin the listening experience and as long as you're
expecting a a 60s record not some sterile CD reissue, it's still a good
example or a very rare original LP. Ready to be enjoyed as originally
intended and should sell for a more realistic price than the premium
archive copies are now hitting.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I
have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is
quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee
exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE
= EX- (No rips, no tears, no defacing, or heavy ring wear, seam splits, etc. But does suffer a couple of small creases in the laminate and other light creasing across two corners on the back, plus some very light wear to the edges and corners, etc -
see photos for further
clarification)
NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical
record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading
records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now
selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records. Before bidding,
please read my description carefully, decide how much this record is
worth to you and place you max bid accordingly. Please also feel free to
check out my feedback from the many other successful transactions I
have made in the past.
