I am selling some of the records I've had for many years in my great collection.  Here's a STEREO copy of The Doors Self Titled LP on the Electra Gold label from 1967. This the original pressing.  The Label has the BIG E, and "STEREO" is printed on one side of the label.  CAT# EKS74007-A1 and B-A1 consecutively indicating the earliest press runs.  The LP is in great NEAR MINT condition with no visible marks at all to the vinyl.  It plays beautifully, and really takes you back to the time.  No pops, skips or jumps. The LABELS are perfect. It looks like it had received little to no play at all, which is remarkable for such an amazing LP.  The COVER is also NEAR MINT with full shine to the cover front and rear. The top left corner has an unfortunate bump, which is visible on both front and Rear.  And, the bottom left corner has a small bend that runs through Jim's neck, also visible on rear.  Also, the front cover shows a small pressed ringwear.  These are all minor issues for an amazing LP like this, but needs to be said.  The LP also comes with it's original ELECTRA BROWN INNER in MINT CONDITION. The Doors were a definitively American band that lasted only a couple years.  The story of The Doors is one of the recklessness and self demise of Jim Morrison.  He was influenced by the beat poets, as well as LA bands like Arthur Lee's Love.  This LP is arguably the greatest debut release of any American band.  The LP in all it's pressings worldwide has sold over 90 Million copies. That is NINTY MILLION... And it still sounds fresh, not outdated, and continues to be played.  It's one for the ages, as these 50 years have not stopped anyone from thinking this is one of the greatest records in rock history.  However, even with over 90M records sold, the amount of first pressings of this in beautiful minty condition are few and far between.  The demand will always outweigh the supply of these first pressings....  And, this is a beautiful playing copy in outstanding condition.  A lot of people believe the MONO first pressing is better.  The sound on the MONO does jump off the table, and it packs a bit more punch, but the STEREO has a nuanced sound with different instruments coming at you from different places.  I find myself playing the STEREO copy more frequently.
PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER LPS FOR SALE NOW ON EBAY.  I AM POSTING SOME TREASURES.  SOME ARE RARE AND COLLECTIBLE, AND OTHERS ARE JUST GREAT ALBUMS.
