Item:  Vintage Vinyl Record 

I prefer NOT to sell to Vintage Record Stores for Re-Sale.  I want these albums going to collectors who appreciate good vinyl and not for someone else to make $$ by jacking up the price.  Thanks.

Please understand that photos of Vinyl Records do not show very accurately because of glares and reflections.  So, please take that into consideration when looking at my photos.  I use the "Industry Standard Record GradingChart" (down below) to grade each Vinyl Records condition and the Condition of the Album Cover.   When in doubt, I will always go "down" in my grading (to play it safe).  Sometimes I will add an extra +/- just to make the grading more accurate.   All Albums I sell are cleaned with a Top of the Line Vinyl Record Cleaner.  So, regardless of an albums condition, it is always immaculate and plays to the best of its potential.  I take Grading/Cleaning Records very seriously and personally listen to every single album.  That's why you don't see any Country/Opera/Rap Albums for sale in my store.  I'd have to listen to them!!  Most albums have their original paper sleeve.  As for the ones that don't or were trashed, I replaced them with a brand new white sleeve.  

Please Understand What Each Grading Means.  Please understand that each Record Player performs differently as well.  I can't stress enough the difference between a $99 Turntable and a $300 Turntable.  

1): David Bowie "Diamond Dogs".  Single Album from 1974 by RCA Recs. AYL1-3889.  Vinyl Record Graded: MINT- (I truly don't think a needle ever came into contact with this vinyl!).  In fact, I normally test EVERY LP I sell and I didn't for this one because there was no reason to plus I didn't want to literally be the probable first one to play it.  It's a Virgin!!!  Album Cover Graded: Near Mint.

Industry Accepted Grading Chart

All gradings are visual and very strict.

Vinyl Record Grading:

S-M (Sealed-Mint)  Record is still sealed and has never been played.

M- (Mint Minus)  Like new. The record does not have any visible light scratches or cracks.

E+ (Excellent Plus)  The record has hardly visible small scratches etc. The label may have some * In effect E+ means almost faultless. We think you can find records graded E+ quite satisfactory, unless you are a collector who is determined to own a brand new record.

EX (Excellent)  There are some light scratches and cracks on the record (which can be felt by touch). Sometimes these slight defects may influence sound. *Although some noise is audible in quieter sections of the record, such as fade-outs, and it is especially conspicuous between tracks, it does not have a profound influence on the whole record. The label may have discolorations or ring wear.

EX- (Excellent Minus)  It is worse than the above, but there are no needle jumps. There is some noise. The label may have discolorations or ring wear.

VG+ (Very Good Plus) It is worse than the above. But,No Needle jumping. There is some noise. The label has discolorations or ring wear.

VG (Very Good ) It is worse than the above.

Cover Grading:

S (Sealed)  Record is still sealed and has never been played.

M-(Mint minus)  Like new.The Cover does not have any lines, folds, scratches, cracks, spots, or other similar folds.

E+ (Excellent Plus)  The Cover has small lines/folds/scratches/cracks/spots/ring wear, or other similar faults.

E (Excellent) The Cover may have light lines, folds, scratches, cracks, spots, some writing, some tape or sticker (or traces of such) and ring wear. It may be slightly dirty.

E- (Excellent minus)  It is worse than the above, The Cover may have light lines, folds, scratches, cracks, spots, some writing, some tape or sticker (or traces of such) and ring wear. The Cover may be dirty.

VG+ (Very Good Plus) It is worse than the above,The Cover has striking folds, scratches, cracks, spots, ring wear, some writing, scotch tape, or stickers.

VG (Very Good) It is worse than the above.

TERMS:   The buyer will please contact me within 3 days either with payment or notification as to when payment will be sent.  Payment must be received within 5 days after the auction ends.  Insurance will be included on breakable or valuable items ($20 or higher), or if requested prior to payment.   I highly suggest you chooseexpedited shipping on fragile items.  The shorter amount of time it is in the Postal System, the better chance it will arrive safely.  I pack each item as if it is the ?holy grail? but accidents do happen from time to time.   By purchasing this item, you are agreeing to take photos of the item and the box if it arrives damaged.  . I need those photos for Postal Insurance Claims.  Items must be returned to take advantage of Postal Insurance.  The Tracking # will be added to the listing as soon as I return home from shipping the item.
