NM (+/-), E (+/-), VG (+/-)

Thislp has been sound-tested. Vintage sealed items have obviously not been sound tested and carry no warranty. In general I recommend cleaning all lps before playback, as most have not been machine cleaned.

NM+ usually means the lp looks brand new or was sealed and was recently opened (I rarely use this grade).

NM usually means that the lp has no significant marks and plays with little noise.

NM minus will have some sleeve residue, minor surface wear, surface noise, and/or minor scuffs and hairlines.

E will show medium wear or surface marks and will have surface noise.

VG will have heavier wear and significant marks/scratches and will play with considerable surface noise.

Jackets - I try to mention significant damage like seam splits, writing and corner creases, but most jackets will show some minor signs of age or shelf wear, even jackets rated NM. NM+ jackets are usually new or in original plastic.
