Just like the Pierre Cavalli Lp on our auctions right now, we've not offered this crossover soul beauty on ebay for 10+ years so very happy to do so, especially when this copy remained sealed until opened to record the soundclip ;) This is the retitled and repackaged Italian issue of 'Check Us Out' by obscure UK funk group, The Chequers. Features their outstanding funk dub version of the Bob Marley reggae anthem "Get Up Stand Up" and several other hot tunes ;) Rare groove funk with breaks and flute on "Check Us Out" / cool soulful funk on "Ridin' High" / cosmic touches to "Theme One" and a gliding disco take of "Undecided Love" for the part 2 version. Lots of congas / beats / wah wah guitars / clavinet / fender rhodes and spacey synth motifs throughout these trax. This multi cultural group was quite successful in their day with tours in Europe and recording deals, hence the Italian issue. Great for DJs! Disc cut loud with big production sound. Recorded on the same cult label that released Alberto Baldan Bembo - Lingue D'Argento and L'Amica Di Mia Madre Italian soundtrack grail :)

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
RECORD - shiny, M- (item previously sealed and only opened to record the soundclip) / a couple of faint pressing blemishes / disc cut loud with big production sound / some natural light background noises  
SLEEVE - original laminated soft card sleeve is in M- condition with a touch of corner wear bottom right / tears to the original shrinkwrap / some light ring creasing but no ring wear (regardless what the photo shows as only the outer shrinkwrap has ring marks)  

LABEL - bright looking / minimal wear, if any / just a couple of pressing blemishes

Mp3 created via a Vestax portable with protective slipmat and basic Audacity software but records always sound much better on a proper hi-fi system ;)
