JACKIE McLEAN IT'S TIME Blue Note (BST 84179)
Up for auction is a very nice 1970 U.S. Blue Note (west coast) stereo pressing of Jackie McLean's 1964 session, "It's Time. Features a fairly young Charles Tolliver on trumpet, and also as the composer of half of the lp. Essential post-bop session, with outstanding work from Herbie Hancock, Roy Haynes and Cecil McBee.
DEAD WAX INFO: Side 1 has BNST - 84179 - A etched into the dead wax. Side 2 has BNST - 84179 - B etched into the dead wax. Both sides have the VAN GELDER and STEREO stamps in the dead wax. Original 1970 U.S. Blue Note (west coast) pressing. VINYL VISUAL: VG+ and better and would be NM if not for paper mottling. Labels show minimal (if any) play.
VINYL PLAY GRADE: VG+ and MUCH better with EXCELLENT fidelity and very little extraneous noise. A cleaning WILL improve, probably to just about NM.
COVER VISUAL: VG+ on this hybrid OG cover (non-glossy front with original stereo rear slick). SEE PICTURES for flaws. It actually shows VERY nice indeed.
Comes with original plain die-cut paper inner (taped seam) which is lined with an Audiophile rice-plastic style inner. DETAILS ON SELLER AND SHIPPING
HELLO ALL. My name is Jamie, and I have been collecting records steadily for over 45 years. After a bit of a respite from selling on Ebay, I am back and will be selling a ton of stuff over the next few years. My tastes run all over the map, so there will be something for everyone. All opened items will be visually AND aurally graded. All Dead Wax info will be listed. Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item).
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER). Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g.
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.
If you have issue with an item, PLEASE work with me to achieve an outcome that will be to your satisfaction. I do offer full refunds (excluding cost to get it back to me), on any item that is not satisfactory. SINCE SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE (Thank You Canada Post), I will rarely list gatefolds or multi-items for sale overseas. IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST. Since a lot of the stuff that I will be selling is of higher end quality, rarely will things be offered overseas. Sorry folks. Again, I can consider requests on an item-by-item basis. THANKS FOR READING, everyone. Occasionally I will be selling rare and collectible CDs. Shipping obviously will be much less, around $5 CANADIAN within North America.
