Original UK 1970release with ‘PUPPET’ cover.

This rare first UK press of Band Of Gypsys (Band of Gipsies on each label) released in June 1970 with the UK only cover with ‘Bob Dylan, Brian Jones and John Peel’ with Hendrix on the front and Hendrix on the rear with his guitar right handed!

The cover has some scuffing or sticker removal damage on 3 places on the top of the front, on the top rear and on the headstock of Hendrix’s guitar on the back. These covers were unlaminated and rather flimsy so they are easily worn and damaged, but this one has survived 50 plus years intact albeit with some superficial wear and scuff marks to the original pictures.

The LP visually is very good, audio has some crackles in quieter parts and a few louder pops during ‘Changes’ and ‘We Gotta Live Together’ but plays as VERY GOOD overall.

Replacement plain inner sleeve.
