THE BEATLES: ‘SGT PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND’ – AN ORIGINAL 1969 UK PARLOPHONE ONE BOX EMI LOGO RARE **mono** VINYL LP IN RARE HYBRID MONO/STEREO SLEEVE – PMC 7027

VERY SCARCE BLACK AND SILVER PARLOPHONE LABEL, THIS LABEL DESIGN REPLACED THE BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE LABEL IN 1969.

In 1969, for the first time since 1963, Parlophone/EMI re-designed their record labels from the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone to Black and Silver Parlophone, with a one EMI Box Logo Labels. All titles were re-released in stereo format and only three titles were released in **mono** the three titles were, Please Please Me, Help, and this one SGT Pepper. The album was issued with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, encircled ‘P’ date 1967, and ‘Made in Gt Britain’ together with the ONE EMI Box to the bottom of the label. (Please note that the Vinyl weight is the same quality to that of the earlier 1967 release. In addition, the machine stamped matrix numbers are the same as the original 1967 version.

The LP comes in it’s original and very rare Hybrid mono & stereo laminated gatefold sleeve, with both the mono PMC 7027 & stereo PCS 7027 catalogue numbers printed on the reverse of the sleeve at the top right corner, additionally the wording, (this is a mono recording) is printed on the lower bottom right corner of the sleeve.

RECORD LABEL CONDITION.

Side 1 record label is in immaculate Mint condition , an undamaged record label showing no signs of play.

Side 2 record label is in beautiful Mint Minus condition , again an undamaged record labels showing just a couple of play signs.

VINYL LP CONDITION.

Both sides of this beautiful Vinyl Disc look in immaculate Mint condition – beautiful, outstanding, clean and bright surfaces to both sides.

Both sides of the LP play through with a beautiful sound quality without any faults.

Side 1 Matrix is: XEX 637-1 and side 2: XEX 638-1.
Side 1 stampers: 2 MPG and Side 2: 6 ROL.

**INNER BAG AND SGT PEPPER CUT-OUT CONDITION**.

The white Made in Great Britain inner bag is in Near Mint condition, the original unused, uncut SGT Pepper cut-out is in as new Mint condition.

The LP comes in it’s original and very rare Hybrid mono & stereo laminated gatefold sleeve, with both the mono PMC 7027 & stereo PCS 7027 catalogue numbers printed on the reverse of the sleeve at the top right corner. This print represents either mono or stereo usage, and usually has one or the other not both.

CONDITION OF THE MONO HYBRID GATEFOLD SLEEVE.

The original and rare, Garrod & Lofthouse Gatefold Hybrid mono & stereo Picture Sleeve with two internal fold over flip backs to the gatefold centre is in the most immaculate and pristine Mint condition. This sleeve is stunning form corner to corner, the front, the gatefold and reverse panels are as new, all edges, spine edge and corners are perfect.

A most beautiful and immaculate example of the classic SGT Pepper Album in hardly seen mono format and in the very rare Hybrid mono/stereo sleeve.
