1st Pressing Matrix Numbers

Features.......

A1/B1 1st pressing matrix numbers - considered to be a superior mix than later releases and incredibly rare. The gatefold cover is matt 'textured' inside and outside. Metallic silver ink used on front cover 'YES' and Close to the Edge' title . Indented dark red/green Atlantic labels. There is the 'witch' symbol in the bottom right corner of the rear cover. Green lyric inner sleeve with outer flip backs at the top and bottom of the rear and no 'Gothic Print Finishers' credit below the catalogue number. The labels do not have the Warner Brothers name or logo - later pressings do.

Cover: Textured 1st pressing gatefold cover. These are incredibly fragile covers and most have sticker marks or other disfiguring 'wear' faults. However, this one has been well cared (inside is Excellent+ and outside is Near Excellent) and therefore rates as Excellent overall with just some wear to edges and spine; and a very small mark on the front - see photos.

Lyric insert: These lyric inserts are very fragile. Most you see have tears and seam splits. This one is in Excellent condition with just some minor wear - see photos.

Vinyl: Not play tested but looks to be VG to VG+.In used but not abused condition. Would benefit from a light clean before playing to bring up to its best - not played for around 30 years.

Labels: Excellent - no stickers, names or doodles.

'SIGNED FOR' POSTAGE:

£5 (UK) £12 (EUROPE) & £18 (REST OF THE WORLD)

Gradings.......

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.

Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.

Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.

Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.

Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc

Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
