THE BEATLES: ‘PLEASE PLEASE ME’ – AN ORIGINAL 1963 UK BLACK AND YELLOW DECCA RECORDS CONTRACT PRESSING PARLOPHONE MONO VINYL LP – PMC 1202.

GUARANTEED ORIGINAL.

This is an original and rare 1963 UK Manufactured by Decca Records, mono vinyl LP for The Beatles Debut UK Album Release ‘Please Please Me’, First released on the 22nd March 1963.

The LP has the very distinctive Decca Records Circular Grooved Record Labels and are on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Record Labels, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Recording First Published 1963’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text. The characteristics of the label text are the same as the EMI Parlophone 5th Pressing Issue.

Both record labels are undamaged and apart from a couple of signs of play to each centre are in Excellent Plus to Near Mint condition, beautiful, clean, undamaged, unfaded record labels to both sides.

The official side 1 matrix is XEX 421-1N/Side XEX 422-1N.

And the Side 1 Mother Stampers are, 111, & Side 2 are, 14.

Both sides of the heavy quality vinyl LP are in beautiful and very well cared for undamaged Near Mint condition, the heavy vinyl disc is a beautiful example, there are no scratches or scuffs to either side of the LP and at most just a couple very light insignificant inner bag hairlines.

As expected the LP plays beautifully throughout without faults with superb clear sound quality.

The LP comes in its original polythene lined Use Emitex inner record bag which is in Excellent condition, no seam splits, just light creases.

And is housed in it’s original and beautiful Ernest J. Day Picture Sleeve, the front of this sleeve is in undamaged Near Mint condition, the front panel still retains it’s original gloss laminate shine with no fading to the rich colours, and with just a couple of tiny corner bumps.

The opening gate edge of the sleeve has remained completely flat, see scan below.

The reverse panel this sleeve is in super clean undamaged Excellent Plus condition, the reverse panel has remained clean, white and bright with only mild handling signs to the opening, all three flipbacks are undamaged, the spine edge and the two other edges are undamaged and the print on the spine edge clearly legible.

This is a beautiful example of an original 1963 Decca Records Contract Pressing LP, for the Beatles UK Debut album, now 52 years since it’s original release back in 1963.
