This is an excellent copy of of the first issued audiophile pressing of The Allman Brothers Band, Eat A Peach, issued by MFSL in 1984 and pressed in Japan by JVC (Japan Victor Company) on virgin vinyl (vinyl is translucent as light passes through). This is not the edition recently issued by latter different MFSL entity. This LP was purchased by me used a number of years ago and was played sparingly. This is very rare and sought after LP with near mint copies of 1st MFSL edition valued at $200. The package includes protective cardboard inserts as well as originally plastic protective record sleeves. The lyric insert that was issued with set is missing.
As to grading, I grade very conservatively following Goldmine Record grading standard. Except that for records that are a notch below near mint, rather than VG ++, I prefer to use grade of Excellent. I do not use VG++ grade in addition to Excellent grade as is done by some.
Visually this album is in excellent very clean condition with just a few barely visible and inaudible marks on Side 1. The LP plays very quietly. Testing was done using headphones. Please note that this was cleaned before testing which was done few weeks before listing and done by hand and not machine. It should be cleaned again before listened. The gatefold cover is in very good condition. There is some light seam wear/spotting on the seams and spine, but no seam splits. The product information is clearly readable on the spine. There is very slight ring and other spot wear or damage on the front and back cover. There is slight corner wear at all corners.
The LP is being sold without reserve and payment is expected within 3 days of auction close. Return of the LP will only be accepted if the same LP sold and shipped is returned. Buyers that behave in a less than ethical manner will be reported and blocked from participation in future auctions.
If you bid on and win more than one item shipping for multiple purchases will be adjusted. If you win more than one item do not pay until I have had the opportunity to issue new invoice to reflect combined lower shipping cost. Shipping for one item is $4 and includes tracking
