A NICE EXAMPLE WITH THE RARER WIDER SPINE, GATE-FOLD SLEEVE, TOTALLY COMPLETE, 100% ORIGINAL!

  No doubt, one of the Iconic albums of the 20th Century, ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ was released by EMI/Parlophone UK on the 1st June 1967, in both mono and stereo formats. The album went straight to Number one, and dominated the top position in the charts for 23 weeks!

 

   Album Description and Condition:

  This original first issue **mono** LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd label’ rim, ‘Sold in the UK….’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ printed to both sides of the record labels labels.

  Both record labels are in Excellent condition, bright undamaged record labels, showing only a few signs of play to the centre spindle holes.

 

  Side 1 stamped matrix: XEX 637-1 and Side 2: XEX 638-1.

Side 1 stampers: 2 GR and Side 2: 3 O.

  There is an embossed KT Tax Code visible on the centre of the side 2 record label.

  Both sides of the LP is in superb Excellent condition, clean and bright vinyl surface to both sides , with just a few light surface hairlines, there are no scratches or scuffs to either side.

 

  The LP plays throughout with superb sound quality, without skips, and just mild background crackle.

  The Vinyl Disc comes in its original Made in Gt Britain Pink & White flame inner bag, and also includes its original SGT Pepper unused card cut-out, the bag has small writing on the top corner and a small 1” seam split to the bottom edge.

 

  And are protected in it’s original First Issue Fully Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Internal Flip back, **WIDER SPINE** Gate-fold Sleeve correctly printed ‘PMC 7027 Mono’ to the reverse.

  This Gate-fold Sleeve has the rarer wider spine, and is in very nice Excellent condition. The sleeve still retains its very deep gloss laminate to the front, inner gatefold and reverse, with no fading to the colours, and only minimal record indentation to the reverse panel. There are NO seam splits to any of the edges, and only a couple of tiny corner bumps, and a small area of laminate lift on the reverse bottom corner (see scan).

 

  The inside part of the Gate-fold Sleeve is in undamaged condition, and the two internal fold over flaps are undamaged.  The Wide spine edge is clean, firm and undamaged and clearly reads 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'.

 

  A complete and nice example of this mono version of The Beatles 1967 UK Album 100% ORIGINAL and COMPLETE, with a rare wide spine gate-fold sleeve.
