THE BEATLES: ‘PLEASE PLEASE ME’ – AN ORIGINAL 1963 UK BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE 5th PRESSING STEREO VINYL LP – CATALOGUE NUMBER, PCS 3042.

   

This is an original 1963 UK 5th  pressing  **STEREO** Vinyl LP for The Beatles Debut UK Album Release ‘Please Please Me’, first released in the UK on the 22nd  March 1963.

  The LP comes on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Labels, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Recording First Published 1963’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text.

  The side 1 matrix reads YEX 94-1, and side 2 matrix reads YEX 95-1.

 

   Side 1 machine stampers are 1 L, and side are 1 G M.

  There is a  visible embossed ‘M T’ tax code to the side 2 label.

  The LP comes in it’s use Emitex poly lined Printed Bag and is housed in its original E.J. Day large ‘STEREO’ printed sleeve with three flip-backs to the reverse.

  Both record labels are in Excellent condition, clean record labels, clear printed silver text showing only a few very light centre spindle lines to both sides.

 

  Both sides of the vinyl LP are in Excellent Minus condition, the heavyweight vinyl disc is free from scratches and scuffs, and shows some light surface hairline scratches when viewed under a strong light.

 

  The LP plays with a clear sound quality from beginning to end with no skips or clicks, with just light static/crackle mostly audible on the quieter tracks and the run in area on both sides.

  The E.J. DAY Picture sleeve is in respectable Very Good to Very Good Plus condition.  The front panel is glossy with no fading to the rich colours with bumps to all four corners.

 

  The reverse panel of the sleeve shows age toning, light stains and handling signs.
