An original 1st press of Caravanserai on the USA CBS label from 1972. Matrix 2AC/2AD. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover textured on the inside. Also included is the original 1972 CBS advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb shape and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is very minor. All we detected was a touch of light static in a couple of isolated moments - i.e. very little at all. Audio output is very fine too. This is a very decent pressing and more than does this Santana classic justice.
Cover (Vg+) In very nice condition and clearly been looked after down the years. Back and front are in nice condition with just a couple of small creases. The only noticeable deterioration is a bit of edge wear, but it is no big deal. The text on the spine is mostly intact. The interior is in excellent condition. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) A bottom edge split which has been neatly taped. Otherwise aok.
