An original Sabbath reissue on Vertigo Spaceship label. Matrix 2/2. "VO6". The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original VO6 UK cover. Please note as Vertigo began re-reissue of Sabbath's early titles in 1973 on the new Spaceship label there was a massive bust-up between band and label. Consequently, Sabbath left Vertigo and a very small pressing run of Sabbath Lps was immediately halted. As a result it is thought that these Spaceship label pressings are amongst the hardest to find of any of Sabbath's early 70's output....
Vinyl (Ex+) In fantastic condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A brilliant rendition and you can hear the shredding of guitars with renewed vigour thanks to the levels of transparency on offer here. Interference is practically non-existent. We couldn't detect more than a coupe of crackles in the odd isolated moment. It really does play very clean. Even in the opening moments of thundering and lightening...a quite back ground. Nothing interfering with the audio - the way it should be!
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. Nice clean front and rear with only lightest handling. On the front one inch south-west of the vertigo logo there's a tiny spot of wear. On the rear up above the catalogue number there's a small stain. The interior is in excellent condition. Edge wear is reasonably light and the text on the spine is still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
