An original 1st press of Transformer on the UK RCA label. Matrix 1E/1E...that's the very 1st cut. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by Clout & Baker. Also included is an original plain white inner with 'made in england' and patent no. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we could make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal - even in those low-key acoustic numbers. We couldn't detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. It really is a very impressive rendition and the very earliest pressing to boot.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. Pretty clean front and back - which is not always an easy find. Edge wear is relatively light with just a touch of wear-through for 2.cm. at the top middle. The spine is mostly intact and all text is still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) A bit of ageing and a few creases. No splits.
