An original 1st issue of HOTH on the UK Atlantic label. Matrix A2/B3. Etching 'RL Sterling'. Please note label design is precisely in line with 1st issue. There's no WB logo in the perimeter text and none of said text continues into the upper hemisphere of the label - as it does on reissues. The heavy set vinyl [significantly heavier than most other 1st's] comes housed in an original matt gatefold cover. Also included is the original textured inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has clearly only seen very light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. The audio is as pure as you could possibly hope for - and those all important low-key tracks like NO-QTR & Rain play really clean. Interference is practically non-existent. All we could detect were a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. A beautiful player by and standard. Please note that one label has a signature on.
Cover (Ex-) Has been well cared for down the years and looks to be in great condition. Nice clean front exhibiting only light handling. Ditto the rear - very little surface wear. The interior is very nice - please note there's one signature in the void below the arch of the bridge. Edge wear is relatively light and the spine is pretty decent all round condition. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Ok, but there is a bit of light foxing in places. One name written bottom right corner. There's a one inch side split and a 1c.m. bottom edge split.
