An original 1st press of ITCOTCK on UK Island from 1969. A4/B2. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J Day cover. Also included is the original plastic bag warning inner sleeve date coded to '109'. That's code for 'October 1969' - the very 1st month of release. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. As any KC fan who's worth his/her salt will know you need very clean players to deliver the kind of rendition that will truly allow the audio to flow unhindered. And this copy is the one to go for if audio quality is of the utmost importance to you. I've only ever witnessed a couple play at this level and the audio just floats out of the speakers - it really does this KC debut title maximum justice. Interference is thankfully very minor and infrequent. We could make out a few crackles in a couple of spots. E.g. as Moonchild starts up - but the track in it's entirety actually plays very nice and clean - and this is THE test track. Beautiful player that would be extremely difficult to better.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and might grade a shade higher had the original owner not written his name in a few spots. Once on the front teeth [front], twice over on the right side [interior] and once top-left [rear]. The front is in lovely condition without ageing or wear or creasing. The rear exhibits two scratches, but nothing else observable. The interior looks excellent. Edge wear is light for the most part. There's a bit more on the spine - but the text is still mostly just about legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity no doubt thanks to its heavy-card design.
Inner (Vg+) No side splits. The name written again. Otherwise aok.
