Retreating from the psychedelia of THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST, the Stones released the roots-rock single "Jumpin' Jack Flash," and then the album BEGGAR'S BANQUET. It was hailed as a rock masterpiece, and remains the favorite of many Stones fans.
Rumored to include work by Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood, BEGGAR'S BANQUET played to the Stones' strengths. The ironic lead-off ("Sympathy For The Devil") led many rock-baiters to conclude that singer Mick Jagger actually was the devil, or at least a satanic follower. Many of the other tracks, particularly the hit "Street Fighting Man," highlighted the solid rhythm section interplay of Wyman and Watts, while Jones contributed a typically down-home slide guitar part to "No Expectations," and the writing team of Richards and Jagger summoned up images of their deep blues roots.  ...............

Die Stones kehrten bei diesem Album zu einem eher bluesigen und akustischen Stil zurück, der sich besonders schön bei der Ballade "No Expectations", "Prodigy Son" und dem beinahe schon countryhaften "Dear Doctor" zeigt. Das Cover wurde übrigens damals von der Plattenfirma abgelehnt, was nach einem Rechtstreit zur Rolling Stones eigenen Plattenfirma führte! ...........................................

In den 1960er Jahren hat Toshiba /Pionier Top-Qualität Pressungen mit ihrer Marke "Ever-Clean"-Prozess veröffentlicht,diese nutzt einen speziellen Wirkstoff der verhindert den Aufbau von statischer Elektrizität auf dem Vinyl. Japanische Pressungen sind gleichbedeutend mit Qualität - das Vinyl glänzt wie kein anderes Vinyl . Die Klangqualität der japanischen Pressungen gilt als eines der besten in der Welt  und darüber hinaus sind sie wunderschön präsentiert, In der Regel sind die Cover auf eine bessere Qualität mit schwerem Papier gedruckt und oft auch einen Bonus lyrischen Einlage mit zwei Sprachen Japanisch & englische Text . Fast alle japanischen LPs wurden mit einem "obi" ausgestellt - wörtlich übersetzt bedeutet dies "Flügel" und wird von der obi (Flügel) um den traditionellen Kimono Kleid getragen abgeleitet. Dieses zarte Papierstreifen, in der Regel um die linke Seite des Album-Cover umhüllt, enthält oft Marketing-Informationen und Album inhaltliche Angaben, alle in der japanischen Kanji-und Kana ~ script gedruckt. Obi Designs können so unterschiedlich sein wie die LPs .
'Hankake "(3/4 Länge Obis) sind fast unmöglich zu finden, und die' Rock Age"-Serie von OBIS sind besonders selten und wertvoll.
