An original 1st press of LIB on UK Decca from 1969. Matrix 6/6. Stampers 1H/1-BA. So, this copy is coming quite early off this particular matrix cut. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Upton Printed cover. Make sure you get yourself a proper 1st. Upton are one of the earliest versions. They should have a peep-hole on the rear and printed on heavier card stock. Also, look for the covers with the poster sticker on - that's a sign that it's early too. This copy has the original bespoke LIB inner sleeve. It's a bit tired so we are also including a same time period poly-lined blue and white Decca inner. Only thing we're missing is the POSTER - it's absent...sorry!
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few light marks per side - nothing heavy or nasty looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A really sweet player that delivers this Stones classic with class and poise. By and large a very clean player without fault. I could only pick out a few isolated crackles occasionally in the two fussiest tracks. 'Silver' & 'Love In Vain'. Nothing remotely invasive. These tracks still play back much better than you typically find. Overall a superb rendition. Even intro to 'YCAGWYW' plays clean as a whistle. Gotta love it!
Cover (Vg+) In great condition and many of these true 1st covers are often looking a bit tired by this point in time. Lovely clean flat front cover with just a small knock in the extreme top left corner. The sticker is fully intact and unpeeled. The rear exhibits just a touch of ageing - but looking much better than many examples. Just some light edge wear and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity in part due to the heavy card employed in manufacture.
Inner (Vg/Vg+) The LIB original inner gets a VG. It's mainly there for completeness and is quite worn. The same period poly-lined copy is better. Light ageing and no splits.
