Tennessee Ernie Ford - Sixteen Tons VG+ Vinyl T-1380 Capitol Records 1960 Canada.
This has the smash hit song called Sixteen Tons and others by Tennessee Ernie Ford. Everything is in Very Good Plus Condition. There are about 4-5 very light and thin scratches on each side. Have to hold up to the sun to see them. For it’s age this record is in a great state. The outer sleeve has no splits or tears and all is legible. The only issue is it appears some previous owner put their initials in black marker on the bottom left corner of the front cover.
I researched the vinyl matrix numbers and cannot find an exact match. Though, they are closest to the First Edition 1960 Canada version. Instead of ending in D1 they end in D3. Also, instead of a #2 there’s a light 3S stamped in the matrix area. I assume this is a first edition because the cover is like a sticker that goes over the cardboard sleeve like other records I’ve sold from Capitol Records and other records from the 50s and 60s.
