Welcome to my auction!!

THIS WEEK: 60’s/70’s ROCK LP COLLECTION…

You are looking at a 1st pressing of John Mayall’s only LP to feature Peter Green titled “Hard Road”. This is the 1st Stereo pressing on the blue London Records label.

RECORD GRADE (Visual grade/Play grade): The LP is visually graded at EX. This record would easily be graded as NM if not for the slightly feelable scratch that is seen starting at the end of track 1/S1 continuing into track 2. It is not a deep scratch but it is feelable and visible (see pix). With the exception of this scratch, the vinyl is very clean and shiny. Play grade is EX. Again this would be graded as NM but the aforementioned scratch causes a click for about 43-44 rotations beginning end of Track 1/Side 1 into track 2. The click is not overpowering but it is noticeable. Other than that, the vinyl sounds great, with minimal noise.

COVER GRADE: EX.

This cover has some minor shelf wear on both sides, seams and spine are strong with minimal wear to both. Nice cover. No writing or splits. (See pix).

GRADING SYSTEM:

MINT (M): Sealed record. I will never grade anything as mint unless it is sealed, at which time it is presumed to be mint.

NEAR MINT (NM): Typically my top grade. The record or cover will show the most minimal of wear. The record will have top gloss. The cover will be free from any ring wear, splits, or handwriting.

EXCELLENT (EX): Not quite Near Mint but a super clean, desirable record, showing a few superficial markings on the vinyl that do not affect playability and the cover free of splits, and any major ringwear.

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+): The record or cover will show signs of wear but no significant defects. There may be superficial markings in greater abundance, potential for minor groove wear. None of the above affecting the playability to any great detriment. Cover may show signs of more significant ringwear, minor splits or seam/spine wear.

VERY GOOD (VG): Obvious signs of wear but the record still has life in it. The scratches will be more feelable resulting in minor pops or clicks. Skipping should not occur though at this grade. The cover will show greater signs of wear, (ringwear, splits, writing).

VERY GOOD MINUS (VG-): The record or cover will show moderate to heavy wear. For a common record this would not be an acceptable grade. For an in-demand, rare record it should be considered. Skips may be present as the feelable scratches will be much more prevalent. The cover will show heavy wear.

GOOD (G): Very heavy wear. This grade would only be acceptable if the record is rare enough that you might not see another copy available for sale or it's a rare record at a low price. I will rarely sell a record at this grade
