PINK FLOYD

MEDDLE

UK/HARVEST /GRAMMOPHONE SHVL-795

A VERY SPECIAL PRESSING:

UNLIKE ANY PRESSING OF MEDDLE YOU MAY HAVE EVER SEEN!  PLEASE READ BELOW UNDER THE “LABEL” INFORMATION FOR ALL DETAILS!

THE TRUEST of 1ST PRESSINGS

THERE IS NO “BOXED” EMI/GRAMOPHONE ON THE LABEL!

SHVL-795-A (both STAMPED & ETCHED)

SHVL-795-B (both STAMPED & ETCHED)

I am offering up for auction my collectors copy of MEDDLE.  This is unlike any copy you have ever seen.  I say this confidently because I have been collecting Pink Floyd vinyl for 18 years and I have NEVER SEEN ANOTHER COPY WITHOUT THE BOXED EMI LOGO!

This is a very, very rare version of this LP not only due to the practically MINT condition of the vinyl but also due to the fact that it is A TRUE 1ST PRESSING!  I will note all of the proof of this statement below:

This LP is extremely rare and next to impossible to find on a good day  but what makes this LP even rarer and really special is that it’s the 'EARLIEST' of the 1ST pressings and made well before the release date and containing many important details that are simply not present on the later pressings!

RELEASE INFORMATION:

First stereo issue SHVL-795 with "THE GRAMOPHONE CO., LTD.” on the label, and the Drip at the end of Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast continuing into the runoff groove of the record.

VINYL:

To start; the record is pressed on THICK CHUNKY VINYL and not the flimsy thin vinyl used on the later pressings.  The MATRIX in the dead wax end is 1G/1G (the later pressings do not!).  The vinyl is in MINT condition; ABSOLUTELY LOOKS TO BE PLAYED ONLY A COUPLE OF TIME…IF THAT?

IT VISUALLY LOOKS MINT and doesn’t even have any of the wispy lines from removing it from the inner sleeve…unbelievable!  It looks like it was pressed yesterday.

It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as stunning as the visual.  It plays “DEAD QUIET”, CRISP & CLEAN! with NO HISS, NO POPS, NO CRACKLES, NO JUMPS & NO STICKS!  The sound quality is simply superb with NO GROOVEWEAR and NO DISTORTION!

LABLES:

There is NO EMI BOX on the labels as do ALL of the later pressings!  This is an extremely rare version of this LP and the label.  This label variation is known to exist throughout the PF collecting world but I had never even seen a picture of one until I found it listed on ebay 6-years ago.  I have held on to it dearly but I am now ready to part with it as I have recently finished my real-to-reel setup and in return I have recorded it at 15ips.

The record labels are in superb condition (see pictures) with NO writing, NO wear, and only one spindle mark!  It is very clear that this record has barely been played at all!

INNER SLEEVE:

The original HARVEST RECORDS advertisement sleeve.

COVER:

In the lower left corner, it says: File Under Popluar: Pop Groups, "7110 TPS printed and made by GARROD & LOFTHOUSE, LTD., SHVL-795, PATENT NO 1224339.

To begin with the cover is in EX condition.  PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTOS; the colors are still very BRIGHT & VIBRANT.

The cover has some EDGE WEAR & some SPINAL WEAR.  The corners are SQUARE with some wear.  There is no creasing, writing, ring-wear or seam splits.

This is the original 1970 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING on the 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING HARVEST LABLE, w/NO EMI BOX on the label, 1ST pressing A-1G/B-1G MATRIX STAMPS, 1ST PRESSING 'GRAMOPHONE COMPANY' EDGE TEXT, 1ST PRESSING HARVEST INNER SLEEVE, and the 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' GATEFOLD COVER.

I do my best to show the record from all angles and make the pictures as clear as possible; there is nothing to hide! It is truly rare to find any copies of this mega rare LP in this sort of condition!  This will be your only chance to buy an original 1970 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING of "Atom Heart Mother" in such stunning condition!

100% GUARANTEED or FULL REFUND!
